Misconceptions of SEO – Search Engine Marketing Series
Hi I’m Yvonne. Last week, I gave a presentation on SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING, to a group of 16 small business owners.
Let us now look at the common misconception about SEO:
Misconception 1: “Content writing is sufficient to rank”
- The fact is only 30% of the hard work to rank depends on website content. Majority of 70% hard work to rank depends on external factors such as backlinks, social media, competitors…etc.
Firstpage does more work that just content writing to make you rank. Because we that your competitors may also be doing SEO marketing. To standout and make sure we are competitive enough to stay on the Firstpage even longer, we will walk the extra miles.
Misconception 2: “ SEO is Useless”
- Take a Step back and see, how could it be useless when you are display right in front of your targeted audiences’ eyes. Giving them a choice to click into your website at the very first instance. Being on Firstpage increase the visibility of your business’s website, increase the traffic to website which increase the possibility of converting.
With SEO(since it is not a PAID AD space) it only means that your website is of certain quality to be selected out of so many websites to be rank on Firstpage which therefore increase the Credibility of your business.
Misconception 3: “ SEO is expensive”
- SEO is a Long-term Return of Investment. Having you rank on Firstpage of the result is the source of FREE flow of Traffic, on a 24/7 basis. With only a few Hundreds of dollars per month, for FREE flow of Traffic – WHY NOT?!
